iS Clinical Review

A few months ago I was lucky enough to be invited to a coffee meeting with some of the girls from Octane PR to have a chat about iS Clinical and their products.'The iS Clinical range is a prescriptive range of products and treatments that aims to be results oriented. Developed by an elite panel of leading pharmacologists, doctors and experts in molecular biology and biochemistry the range is foundered on the highest level of integrity using the purest pharma-grade and botanical quality ingredients.'

I was very lucky to get a sample of the Cleansing Complex, Hydracool serum, Active Serum Super Serum Advance and the SPF 30. So I put the products to the test over the course of a couple of months, to make sure that I could give you a true analysis of what I thought - I find that it takes a while for my skin to truly see a difference when using a new product.

Over the past few months I have been using these products as advised, mixed with the skincare routine I had previously been loving. Although I have noticed no dramatic difference in my skin, I have noticed a huge difference if I don't use the products for a day or two. The serum's in particular work amazingly and I really do feel a difference with the texture and overall appearance of my skin. The cleansing complex is also lovely. I normally use this at night after taking my make up off as it's quite a thick formula that I find works best with clean skin.

Overall I'm really impressed with iS Clinical and their products! This was a brand I'd never heard of before, however I definitely think I would like to look further into some more of their products and the especially the treatments that they offer!

I'm Back!

I've started this post so so many times and still feel like it sounds like the same old stale 'i've not been blogging but I'm starting up again' post. I'm not trying to be that person I promise!

The truth is, life got in the way of me blogging this past year and unfortunately I allowed it to. I took a year out of education between college and university to work full time and try and save. I worked probably a minimum of 45 hours a week whilst trying to fit in a social life and still manage my everyday life chores. I went through a lot personally this last year and overcame so many battles, however during this time I let my one true passion slip into the distance.

Media has been an eye opener for me. From my first GCSE Media lesson I was hooked! A whole new world opened of opportunities and my passion just flowed. I've always been academic, but never before did I truly feel like I'd found what I was supposed to be doing. Since then I've explored every avenue and the world of blogging has always been one that I've come back to!

So I didn't want this post to just be about me not having put out content for a while and introducing myself back in, but instead to also be a way of me reintroducing myself to the 'blogging' life and pledging to myself that I will pursue my passion and really get back to enjoying what I liked about media in the first place.

I'm so so excited to be creating content again and really experimenting with ihopeso blog and seeing where this can go!

Mini London Beauty Haul

A few weeks ago on a weekend away to London, I made a few cheeky make up purchases in Selfridges. I'd had my eye on a few bits from Charlotte Tilbury for ages but there's nowhere that stocks it near me so I wanted to wait till I could really see the colours in real life.
The first thing I wanted to try was the 'Eyes to Mesmerise' Cream Eyeshadows which are amazing. I chose the colour 'Marie Antoinette' which is a perfect muted champagne colour which is great for an everyday wash or a base. I also got the Matte Revolution Lipstick in 'Glastonberry' - a coveted colour that I absolutely adore. I don't have anything else like this in my collection but it's the perfect autumnal shade and feels really comfortable to wear! I definitely need more from this brand now!
Then whilst in Covent Garden I popped into Bobbi Brown and was immediately drawn to the Lipliner in 'Rose'. It's a mixture of a dark mauve and a more pinky toned rose that I think will look great through all the seasons. To go with this I also picked up a Creamy Matte Lipstick in the shade 'True Pink'. This again is a dark mauve colour with a slight pink tinge and is definitely going to become my staple colour for this Winter.
