Maybelline Fit Me Concealer

So I'm probably a bit late to the party on this one but I couldn't let this pass by without a mention! I've read mixed reviews about these but lately my other concealers weren't really cutting it for me and I didn't want to fork out for the NARS Creamy Concealer just yet as my skin seems to be having a little change around so I thought I'd try this out seeing as many people have said the Maybelline Fit Me one is a dupe.
I've been using this for a little while now and I am completely head over heels for it! I use this primarily for concealing my under eyes, but my favourite thing to do is use it as a highlight. I particularly like to put this on the tops of my cheekbones and love the natural glow it gives my skin. Recently, I lost this for a couple of days and found that nothing else I had worked quite as well as this does, needless to say I ran out and bought a back up!

This gives fairly good coverage, I have quite dark under eye circles to contend with and it does a good job of highlighting and covering the most part. The texture is quite wet but I like that as it means you have a bit more time to blend it. I find it then sets well as well and stays pretty much all day! I've even used this dotted around the whole of my face as a quick make up job and loved the finish it gave!

Have you tried this concealer before? Let me know of any other recommendations!

April Favourites 2015

This month, I seem to have gotten into a bit of a routine with my make up and hair, but there have been some stand out products that I've really loved coming into spring!
Maybelline Fit Me Concealer - I know I'm probably late to the band-waggon with these ones but for the life of me I don't know what I did before I had this in my life! I love this for under the eye and especially as a highlighter on the tops of my cheeks. I've even used it dotted over my skin and blended as a quick fix make up, it just works for everything, I don't know what I did before!

Charles Worthington Volume and Bounce Texturising Spray - Despite having really thick hair, I do love a good volumising spray! I find my hair is so much heavier at the bottom than my roots, so this really helps to even it out and I find is a must if I'm putting my hair up into a bun

New Look 'Cold Shoulder' Top - Seeing as the weather in the UK has been so lovely, I've been able to make great use of this top. I love the plain style but the extra little something with the open shoulders. I've already ordered another colour!

Make Up Revolution Baked Bronzer in 'Golden Days' - To go with the sunny weather I've been loving the summery 'glowing skin' look and think I'm now obsessed with baked products. I love the natural and radiant finish this gives

What have you been loving this month?

Packing for Holiday - My Travel Make Up Essentials

Following my post on Tuesday of the toiletries that I take on holiday, I thought I would do one on the make up I like to take when I travel too. Here are a few of the bits I took with me this year...
  • Benefit Porefessional Primer - My absolute favourite primer ever!
  • Garnier Skin Perfector Daily All-In-One BB Cream - I used this in the evenings for a bit of coverage that still lets skin shine through and was really natural looking
  • Collection Lasting Perfection Concealer in 'Warm Medium' - For those sneaky blemishes, I only really used a little of this in the evenings instead of foundation
  • Soap and Glory Kick Ass Concealer 3 Piece Camouflage Kit - I like to use this under the eyes as its got a peachy tone and yellow tone to cancel out those dark circles, the setting powder is great too!
  • Soap and Glory One Heck of a Blot Translucent Mattifying Powder - As I have combination skin, I always need a good powder to keep away that shine. I tried this one out on holiday and really liked it!
  • Sleek Contour Kit in 'Medium' - As both a bronzer and highlighter, this is great for travelling and really showing off that glowing tanned skin!
  • Benefit Rockateur Blush - A staple in my make up bag, I wore this everyday on holiday!
  • Soap and Glory Archery Brow Tint and Precision Pencil - Eyebrows are very important to me! This pen/pencil is great at keeping them looking natural but also perfect!
  • Soap and Glory Supercat Black Eyeliner Pen - My favourite liquid eyeliner at the moment, it's really easy to apply and hasn't dried out despite me having it for months now
  • Urban Decay Naked Palette - A go to palette for holidays, with gorgeous golden and champagne colours, this is all you could want for an evening eye shadow that takes seconds.
  • Benefit They're Real Mascara - Another favourite of mine, I couldn't be without it!
  • Soap and Glory Sexy Mother Pucker Gloss Stick in 'Nudist' - I've repurchased this so many times I may as well just have a standing order. This is my favourite nude lipstick and such a lovely formula
  • Maybelline Color Sensational Vivids Lipstick in 'Neon Red' - This bright red lipstick is probably my favourite one in my whole collection and looks great with a tan!
  • Natural Collection Mango and Papaya Lip gloss - I've been buying this lip gloss since I was about 11 and will forever, it's just a clear lip gloss that feels really nice on the lips and both smells and tastes amazing, what more could you want?
These are just a few of the main bits I took on holiday with me this year. I also took some extra lip products (as I said before I am a major over packer) and also took my Benefit Hoola bronzer, a set of Sleek blushers just in case and a few other bits and bobs.

What make up items do you take on holiday with you? Is there anything you couldn't live without?

My Recent Drugstore Beauty Haul

One of my favourite things to do when i'm out shopping or want to kill some time is to go and look around the make-up in Boots or Superdrug. I can spend hours going through the aisles looking at all the products old or new again and again. However, this isn't necessarily so good for my bank balance, especially seeing as most of the time there are either some great offers or the offer of '3 for 2 on all make-up' which encourages me to take full advantage!

My recent shop included a mixture of new things (and some old favourites) that I am really excited to try out especially seeing as now it's getting to winter I can't wear so many bright colours anymore and really like the autumnal coloured trend at the moment.
Here's a list of the things I got:
  • Maxfactor Colour Elixir Lipstick in 'Burnt Caramel' - I'm absolutely loving this shade as a sort of 'your lips but better' colour which is a slightly darker shade for winter. I haven't stopped wearing it since I bought it!
  • Maxfactor Colour Adapting Foundation - I'm never too content with foundations and am always looking for a new one that's perfect. This one so far seems really nice but can be a bit drying at times however I do like the almost moussy consistency it has.
  • Collection Lasting Perfection Concealer - Just like many other beauty bloggers, I absolutely love this concealer. It does a great job in hiding blemishes and is something I can never leave the house without!
  • Rimmel Wake Me Up Concealer - I love this concealer for under my eyes and think that it really brightens up my face and makes me look more awake and fresh, its another thing I can't leave the house without!
  • Rimmel Single Eyeshadow in 'Smoky Quartz' - I'm very much a neutrals girl and love anything that either has a satin effect or is matte. This eyeshadow is slightly glittery but I think that the colour is a beautiful neutral shade and the pigmentation is great, I've found it lasts me all day without creasing
  • Rimmel Apocalips Lip Laquer - I wasn't so sure I would like these when I first heard about them but now I am well and truly converted! I never leave the house without a lipstick/lipgloss on and think it can completely change an outfit and these are just lovely! The formulation is just right and they aren't too gloopy or drying for your lips. I am definitely going to be purchasing many more colours soon
  • Maybelline 24hr Colour Tattoo in 'Metallic Pomegranate' - I am in love with these eyeshadows either as bases or as a quick fix if I don't want to take too long on my eyeshadow, the only thing is I wish there were more colours out in the range!
  • L'Oreal Superliner Perfect Slim in 'Black Intense' - I love liquid eyeliner especially when they come in pens. This one has a super thin tip which is great for getting any thickness or shape you want and is one I have used for a while now and will continue to buy!

  • Rimmel Stay Matte Powder in 'Transparent' - This powder has been a staple in my make up bag for years and I don't think i'll ever stop loving it! It's not expensive at all and is just an amazing powder for the price!

Let me know in the comments any recent products you've bought that you thought were great or just something you think I should try out
