The Knitted Dress

Big cosy jumpers, cardigans and huge scarves that you can wrap around your neck multiple times are one of my favourite things about Winter! I get so excited that I can now layer up and love the fashion that is around this time of year, with the chunky knits and darker colours.
(I had to take this picture from the New Look website as my camera deleted mine, hopefully I'll have one on my Instagram soon!)

Recently when shopping, I stumbled across this little knitted dress from New Look. It's not something I would normally go for as it does have a slightly odd 'A-lineish' shape that I worry would stick to my hips, but I just fell in love with it. I think knitted dresses are so cute and a really nice thing to have in your wardrobe this time of year when you want to dress up a bit but still want to layer up!

I wear this with really thick tights and either flat ankle boots, or heels depending on where I'm going. I always add a scarf as well (I don't think I even go out without a scarf on in the winter) and if I really need an extra layer then I pop on a big chunky cardigan.

I just wish they did this in more colours! Undoubtedly I'd have to buy them all!

Let me know if you see any other knitted dresses you like this year!

My Autumn Fashion Wishlist

As the seasons change, so must my wardrobe, which of course means shopping! As much as I love the Summer, I'm actually really excited for Autumn this year, mainly because of the outfits you get to wear! I love layering with cute jumpers, a leather jacket and boots, and cosying up whilst the weather gets colder.

However, I realised this year that many staple items that I love wearing in Autumn of mine are either worn out or there's gaps in my wardrobe. So, I decided to put together a little 'wishlist' of items I hope to get this Autumn to fill those gaps and be staples for my wardrobe for years to come.

(Going left to right along the rows, top first)

1. Suede Ankle Boots - These ones are from New Look which I actually saw ages ago, tried on and absolutely loved! However, being the middle of August, I thought it would be silly to buy them just yet so have waited till the weather is slightly colder.
2. Black Blazer - I think this is just a great staple item to have in your wardrobe for casual or smart. You can throw this on over a t-shirt as a jacket/to look slightly smarter, or in the evening over a dress so easily.
3. Tartan Scarf - A trend that keeps coming back every Autumn/Winter and one I love! These scarves are so cosy but stylish and perfect with a leather jacket.
4. Raspberry Backpack - I love this backpack from Accessorize and think the colour is perfect for Autumn! Really handy for day to day wear as well!
5. Denim Shirt - As shocking as it may be seeing as they're so popular, I have never owned a denim shirt. However, this one in New Look is so soft and I think I'll get a lot of wear out of it!
6. Leather Jacket - Since the first time I saw this leather jacket in River Island I have been hooked! I love the huge fur collar and that it's also detachable for a more casual look. I think it'll be really cosy but also looks quite luxurious for a little bit extra some days!
7. Rose Gold Watch - I may not get the Michael Kors one in particular (it's quite a treat item to buy) but I do think a rose gold watch is perfect for Autumn and it's probably my favourite colour for jewellery.
8. Satchel - I think satchel's are so cute but smart and so easy to dress up or down. Being handbag obsessed as well, I can always find a reason for a new bag!

Do you have any things on your wishlist this Autumn?

Packing for Holiday - A Couple of Outfits

This year, I was very lucky to go away for the week to Gran Canaria with my family. Like most people on holiday, I spent a lot of the time by the pool in my swimming costume and a cover up to go to the bar. However, we did go out a couple of the days and each evening, so I thought I would show you a couple of my favourite outfits I wore this holiday.
This Navy Jumpsuit has quickly became one of the favourite things I have ever worn/bought! It's really comfortable to wear and soft as it's cotton. I wore it with my favourite brown sandals and a little satchel bag then popped on a grey cardigan later in the evening when I got a little chilly.
I've had these high-waisted shorts for probably 3 or 4 years now, and never found any I like as much. I wear them in the winter with tights all the time, but love to pop them on in the summer too with little cami's or vests/t-shirts. This outfit was more of a casual one that I paired with plain black pumps to go to dinner in and a burgundy cardigan for later in the evening.
I've loved this dress for months now and finally splurged on it for my holiday. Luckily, when I popped into Urban Outfitters it was on sale as well, so I took it as that I was meant to have it! Red is my absolute favourite colour and I think the print and cut of this dress is so pretty and flattering and easy to wear. I just paired this with the same bag from before (Also from the Urban Outfitters Sale) and sandals from Next.
This outfit was a little out of my comfort zone, however when I saw this denim 3/4 length playsuit in New Look hung up I had to have it. It's really loose and again is a light linen material so really comfy to wear. I wore this with some bright sandals I brought also from New Look and my brown satchel bag again.
Me and my younger (despite me being quite a lot shorter) brother!

As you may have noticed, this coral jumpsuit is the exact same style as the first navy one (I couldn't help myself and had to get both colours) I just had to when I realised they were the right length for me as I'm not even 5 ft tall. I wore this on my last night of holiday and it looked great with a tan! I popped on my kimono when it got a bit cold (as mentioned in a previous post of mine) and think this will be a staple outfit for summer for me now.

Do you have any outfits you've been loving this summer? If so, i'd love to hear about them in the comments!

Until next week!

Casual Sunny OOTD

For once the sun has decided to come out for us here in the UK and we have to make the most of it! I got a few things shopping lately for spring/summer clothes and thought i'd show you a little outfit of the day for a casual day of coffee with friends and enjoying the sun.

Kimono's seem to be everywhere at the moment, and seeing as i'm just under 5 ft tall, I thought i'd never be able to find one that fits me and isn't too long as I absolutely love them! This one is from New Look (which seems to have a lot of great stuff in at the moment, especially for summer). It's slightly longer but I really love the pretty flowery print and love pairing it with a soft blouse and some loose fit trousers with heels for a night out or jeans and pumps for the day.

Today I wore this look for a coffee lunch with some friends, just adding my the jewellery I normally wear everyday - a necklace my Brother bought me for my 17th and a ring my Mum bought me. I love that this look can so easily be dressed up or down and thrown together in a hurry!

Jeans - River Island, Vest - New Look, Kimono - New Look, Watch - Next, Sunglasses - Dorothy Perkins, Bag - Fiorelli
