My Holiday to Gran Canaria

Recently I went away with my family to Gran Canaria for a week. We've been before when I was much younger but this time went to a completely different place and I think it's fair to say I fell in love with that place!
We were lucky enough to stay just a five minute walk down a hill from the beautiful Amadores White Sand beach which we went to every day even if just for a stroll after dinner. There's millions of little restaurants there and holiday shops that I did have to pop into a few times. They've even got a mini golf course at one end which goes on forever!
The beautiful view from our balcony, of the beach. I would just sit here watching the world go by for ages and could have forever.

One evening we visited what was described to us as the best shopping centre around in Puerto Rico. Just a five minute taxi journey from our hotel, this wasn't quite what we were expecting (we thought it would be a boutique mall for some reason) but still quite fun to peruse and people watch all the same.
We also visited Puerto de Mogán on the market day which is a beautiful coastal village that has gorgeous little rivers that give it it's nickname of 'Little Venice'. The markets went on for miles and led you to the main town area where you see all the boats and beautiful back streets. This was probably my favourite place of the whole trip, the white streets and houses were so beautiful, I found myself taking pictures of the same thing over and over again so I wouldn't forget anything. We visited a little cafe/restaurant as well which had just the nicest waiters ever! They were so lovely, it was almost like being part of a show just sitting there, as if they had known us for years.
On our 2nd to last day, we decided to rent pedalos from Amadores beach which you could ride around the sea. They had a slide to go down off and the sea was so clear we spent ages diving off the side. The funniest part of this was that my Mum sat on the side and tried to take a video and pictures of us, however when we looked at the footage afterwards she had just filmed her feet and ended up taking a picture of a jet ski which she thought was our pedalo as it was the same colour.
I had the best time and am already thinking of taking my friends back there next year (hopefully!).
Have you been/going to be doing anything nice this summer?

Packing for Holiday - A Couple of Outfits

This year, I was very lucky to go away for the week to Gran Canaria with my family. Like most people on holiday, I spent a lot of the time by the pool in my swimming costume and a cover up to go to the bar. However, we did go out a couple of the days and each evening, so I thought I would show you a couple of my favourite outfits I wore this holiday.
This Navy Jumpsuit has quickly became one of the favourite things I have ever worn/bought! It's really comfortable to wear and soft as it's cotton. I wore it with my favourite brown sandals and a little satchel bag then popped on a grey cardigan later in the evening when I got a little chilly.
I've had these high-waisted shorts for probably 3 or 4 years now, and never found any I like as much. I wear them in the winter with tights all the time, but love to pop them on in the summer too with little cami's or vests/t-shirts. This outfit was more of a casual one that I paired with plain black pumps to go to dinner in and a burgundy cardigan for later in the evening.
I've loved this dress for months now and finally splurged on it for my holiday. Luckily, when I popped into Urban Outfitters it was on sale as well, so I took it as that I was meant to have it! Red is my absolute favourite colour and I think the print and cut of this dress is so pretty and flattering and easy to wear. I just paired this with the same bag from before (Also from the Urban Outfitters Sale) and sandals from Next.
This outfit was a little out of my comfort zone, however when I saw this denim 3/4 length playsuit in New Look hung up I had to have it. It's really loose and again is a light linen material so really comfy to wear. I wore this with some bright sandals I brought also from New Look and my brown satchel bag again.
Me and my younger (despite me being quite a lot shorter) brother!

As you may have noticed, this coral jumpsuit is the exact same style as the first navy one (I couldn't help myself and had to get both colours) I just had to when I realised they were the right length for me as I'm not even 5 ft tall. I wore this on my last night of holiday and it looked great with a tan! I popped on my kimono when it got a bit cold (as mentioned in a previous post of mine) and think this will be a staple outfit for summer for me now.

Do you have any outfits you've been loving this summer? If so, i'd love to hear about them in the comments!

Until next week!
