Packing for Holiday - A Couple of Outfits

This year, I was very lucky to go away for the week to Gran Canaria with my family. Like most people on holiday, I spent a lot of the time by the pool in my swimming costume and a cover up to go to the bar. However, we did go out a couple of the days and each evening, so I thought I would show you a couple of my favourite outfits I wore this holiday.
This Navy Jumpsuit has quickly became one of the favourite things I have ever worn/bought! It's really comfortable to wear and soft as it's cotton. I wore it with my favourite brown sandals and a little satchel bag then popped on a grey cardigan later in the evening when I got a little chilly.
I've had these high-waisted shorts for probably 3 or 4 years now, and never found any I like as much. I wear them in the winter with tights all the time, but love to pop them on in the summer too with little cami's or vests/t-shirts. This outfit was more of a casual one that I paired with plain black pumps to go to dinner in and a burgundy cardigan for later in the evening.
I've loved this dress for months now and finally splurged on it for my holiday. Luckily, when I popped into Urban Outfitters it was on sale as well, so I took it as that I was meant to have it! Red is my absolute favourite colour and I think the print and cut of this dress is so pretty and flattering and easy to wear. I just paired this with the same bag from before (Also from the Urban Outfitters Sale) and sandals from Next.
This outfit was a little out of my comfort zone, however when I saw this denim 3/4 length playsuit in New Look hung up I had to have it. It's really loose and again is a light linen material so really comfy to wear. I wore this with some bright sandals I brought also from New Look and my brown satchel bag again.
Me and my younger (despite me being quite a lot shorter) brother!

As you may have noticed, this coral jumpsuit is the exact same style as the first navy one (I couldn't help myself and had to get both colours) I just had to when I realised they were the right length for me as I'm not even 5 ft tall. I wore this on my last night of holiday and it looked great with a tan! I popped on my kimono when it got a bit cold (as mentioned in a previous post of mine) and think this will be a staple outfit for summer for me now.

Do you have any outfits you've been loving this summer? If so, i'd love to hear about them in the comments!

Until next week!

Casual Sunny OOTD

For once the sun has decided to come out for us here in the UK and we have to make the most of it! I got a few things shopping lately for spring/summer clothes and thought i'd show you a little outfit of the day for a casual day of coffee with friends and enjoying the sun.

Kimono's seem to be everywhere at the moment, and seeing as i'm just under 5 ft tall, I thought i'd never be able to find one that fits me and isn't too long as I absolutely love them! This one is from New Look (which seems to have a lot of great stuff in at the moment, especially for summer). It's slightly longer but I really love the pretty flowery print and love pairing it with a soft blouse and some loose fit trousers with heels for a night out or jeans and pumps for the day.

Today I wore this look for a coffee lunch with some friends, just adding my the jewellery I normally wear everyday - a necklace my Brother bought me for my 17th and a ring my Mum bought me. I love that this look can so easily be dressed up or down and thrown together in a hurry!

Jeans - River Island, Vest - New Look, Kimono - New Look, Watch - Next, Sunglasses - Dorothy Perkins, Bag - Fiorelli

My Christmas Beauty Goodies 2013

Now I know that it may seem a bit late, but I decided that I wanted my first blog post of 2014 to be about the beauty items that I got for Christmas last year. (How mad does it sound to say, or write that) I'm not doing this to brag at all about what I got, I just find that one of my favourite blog posts to read is about the things people get for Christmas, so thought I would do it myself too!

Now here's what I got...
There were a few things I've had my eye on for a long time and haven't gotten around to getting yet. I was lucky enough to get some absolutely lovely things..

The Best of Benefit Gift Set

I've always adored Benefit's products, so this set was full of loads of new and old favourites! The 'Porefessional' Primer has actually become my favourite primer of the moment and I will definitely be purchasing the full size!

Urban Decay Naked Palette
I have wanted one of these palettes for so long and haven't seemed to get around to going to town and purchasing one. This was probably one of my favourite ever present's I've gotten. I have used it every day since and will definitely be getting both of the other palettes ASAP!

Juicy Couture Viva La Juicy Perfume Gift Set
I fell in love with this perfume one day when I was walking through Boots and given a little spray on a card as they do. I've never been very adventurous with perfume, generally keeping to my Calvin Klein or Chanel one's and was hooked. It's got a full size 30ml bottle and a little handbag/travel size which hasn't left my handbag.

Vera Wang Floral Rush Perfume
My gorgeous Aunt bought me yet another lovely perfume that I have lusted after for ages. I absolutely love the design of the bottle and was so excited to open this.

Babyliss Curl Secret Hair Curler
This curler is amazing! It makes curling your hair so easy and creates the most beautiful curls. It's not the cheapest of hair tools, however if you can, I would totally recommend everyone to get one of these!

What did you get for Christmas? Any beauty goodies I should know about to try next?
